I had planned for 2012 to be The Dubai and The Maldives for such a long time, people were always going to Dubai and telling me how amazing it was. And that I would love the weather, the atmosphere and so on. I had been researching and found a company called Holiday Please – I had never heard of them before but I really like the way they listened to what I was after and put together a package that suited us down to the ground. We flew with Emirates for the first time, the airport was very modern, very impressive – if only Heathrow could be like this. We were picked up by private transfer and driven to our hotel – The Rotana Towers, and thanks to our package were given a premium room. Our room overlooked the Shiekh Zayed Road and Jumeirah Bld. We were impressed with the service here. And pleased that we were close to the metro. We like trying our local travel and experiencing places like locals. We took the metro to Burj Khalifa and the view was amazing. And to think that Tom Cruise hanged outside of this building In Mission Impossible 4 was a scary thought. I am pleased we did that. We also went on a tour bus, that took us around Dubai – showing us more than just the beach. Over all, I am glad I went to Dubai, but for me, it wasn’t amazing and I would not go back.
