Kuala Lumpur March 2014

This trip has been planned for years, although I was only planning on staying at Cape Panwa in Phuket. I booked my flights in October 2013 with http://www.holidaysplease.co.uk and I was given a free stopover in Kuala Lumpur by Malaysia Airlines for four nights. The reason I booked with them, is their attention to detail and I had been on a previous trip which I had found amazing. So March came round and we were off. The flight on Malaysia Airlines was nice. And was pretty empty, as this was weeks after the missing flight. We were picked up by private transfer and driven the 30-40 mins into the city – the formula one had just finished just after we had landed.

Considering this was a free hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. We were given a superior room on the second floor. This was good as we were able to pick up the free wi-fi, this was only allowed in the lobby. The breakfasts were nice. The location was great, opposite a very large shopping arcade called Berjaya Times Square – we had never seen any place like this before. It even had a rollercoaster in the middle of it. What we enjoyed in Kuala Lumpur, was that it was so tourist friendly, we walked from our hotel to the Petronas Towers – I had been thinking about taking a taxi there. On a map, it had looked so far away. To conclude I would go back to Malaysia and am planning on seeing more of this country. Mainly due to, this first initial visit.
